Baseball Alumni Game Set For Saturday, November 12 - Brian Broderick Ball To Be Unveiled - UPDATE PHOTOS ADDED

Coaches Cirelli, Rose, and Kenney announce the Alumni Game for Nov. 12

Former T'Bird hurler on hand to customary Mesa Baseball ceremony

Coaches Tony Cirelli and Doug Rose announced the annual Alumni Game will take place Saturday, November 12 at noon at the Mesa Baseball Field.

Those interested in playing or seeking more information are asked to email Coach Rose at dougrose@mesacc.edu.

Former Mesa hurler Brian Broderick will be on hand as his Major League call-up this past April will be recognized in a pre-game ceremony that features a large, painted, wooden baseball with his name on it being affixed to an outfield wall.

"We are so proud to have another former player make it to the big league level and it couldn't happen to a nicer kid," says Coach Cirelli.

Broderick played for Mesa in 2006 and was featured earlier this year in a website exclusive story.

Each year Mesa Baseball honors its rich history with an Alumni Game where many former players, some of them former major-leaguers get together on the diamond for one more go-around at the field where it all got started.

Please contact Coach Rose for more information or call the baseball office at 480-461-7562.
