Day On D A Highlight Reel Of Coaching Prowess
 

MCC Men’s Basketball hosted the Day on Defense Saturday, October 17 in Theo Heap Gymnasium on the campus of MCC. The coaches clinic focused on defensive techniques and fundamentals with two of Arizona’s greatest; Tom Bennett and Royce Youree.  Coach Sam Ballard showcased his 2009-10 T'Birds in drills designed to develop defensive intensity

New this year were zone techniques and a question and answer session with coaches Bennett and Youree.   Cost was $75.00 for one coach, $65.00 each for two coaches from the same school and $50.00 each for three or more coaches from the same school. 

Registration included lunch, t-shirt and a gift bag. Here is a downloadable brochure, Day on Defense Brochure.  Mesa Men's Basketball will hold the clinic annually as a precursor to the regular season to showcase Mesa's style of play while creating fellowship amongst Arizona coaches and players.

Participants can expect to advance their techniques in defensive strategies while absorbing tutelage from each other.  The guidance and oversight of legendary coaches will create the perfect atmosphere for all those in attendance year after year.
