Kevin Witte Leads Men

Mesa Men's Golf and Head Coach John Guerrero took a 3rd-place home with them from the Scottsdale Invitational March 1-2 at Hillcrest Golf Course in Sun City, AZ.

Kevin Witte, a freshman out of Desert Vista High School, finished 3rd individually, leading the Mesa men.  Witte shot rounds of 75-69 for an even par of 144. 

Coach Guerrero was pleased with the performance but knows consistency is key in the ACCAC.

"We struggled out of the gate on day one and we can't afford to have those team rounds in our ACCAC tournaments.  We played better in round two but we need to be more consistent to win in our conference," says Guerrero. 

Mesa Men's Golf plays the Postom Butte Classic in Florence on Wednesday-Thursday, March 10-11.  Tee times begin at noon.
