MESA SOFTBALL IS PROUDLY

Alesha Asijie is on her way to the University of Georgia to compete in track & field.
She had some unfinished business at Mesa first.
Asijie dominated the field at NJCAA's in Hutchinson, Kansas and won the Hammer competition with a 51.55 meter-throw, bringing home the hardware to Mesa.
In addition to the National Title won by Asijie, Samia Stokes, Sean McPherson, Robbie Haynie, and Samantha Henderson earned All-American status by finishing in the top three in their respective events.
Stokes took 2nd in Discus with a 46.67 meter-throw, McPherson took 3rd in the Hammer with a 49.85 meter-throw, Samantha Henderson took 3rd overall in the Heptathlon with 4959 total points, and Robbie Haynie took 2nd in the Pole Vault with a 4.65 meter-vault.
