Win over Lady Bears, 72-54, clinches title and #1-seed

Coach Stephenson and the 2011-12 Mesa Lady Thunderbirds basketball team are the ACCAC DII Champions.

At 21-7 overall and 14-5 in the conference, the Region I Champion and National Tournament representative will have to go through Theo Heap Gym. 

With one regular season game remaining this Friday night at home against South Mountain, the Lady T'Birds have one unified goal...to win the Region I Title and advance to NJCAA Nationals in Peoria, Illinois, beginning on March 20, 2012.

With a bevy of players destined to earn season accolades, the ladies remain focused on their goal from the start of the season. 

If the playoffs were to start today, the four teams in DII would be; #1 Mesa, #2 Pima, #3 Glendale, and #4 Scottsdale. 

Playoffs begin the first week of March.
